Promotions and Visuals

With space reserved, logistics in place, a solid list of participants and a preliminary list of elected officials, it’s time to get the word out about your event. To do that, you can use things like posters, t-shirts, brochures and other visuals that promote your event in an appealing way.

Before creating any materials, remember to identify your audience first. Make sure you determine the best way to connect with who you’re looking to include. This will ensure that your promotional tools and outreach is not only effective, but FUN.

Local Talent

  • Challenge students to design fun and inviting visuals for t-shirts, banners, etc.
  • Do you have a team member or contact that’s a communication/PR expert or graphic designer? Maybe they are studying those subjects. Tap them.
  • Contact your local college’s PR staff. They are experts at making the college look good, and will jump at the chance to connect the college with the community. They can help with visuals as well as media outreach.
  • Ask an established PR or graphic design firm to do pro-bono work for your event.
