Alicia Eimer
Before working as a National Organizer with Focus The Nation, Alicia worked as a Community Outreach Director for the New York Public Interest Research Group in Ithaca, NY. The summer campaign was instrumental in achieving a Climate Change Executive Order for the state of NY. Prior to the summer outreach program Alicia worked as a Project Coordinator for NYPIRG. With NYPIRG she worked on campaigns to keep Higher Education affordable and taught students invaluable organizing and social advocacy skills. While writing letters and directing students to the phone numbers of Congressional targets, she also built lasting friendships with the student volunteers at The State University of New York at Cortland.
Alicia graduated from Ithaca College with a B.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications. She volunteered for the Ithaca College Bureau of Concerts bringing music to the college and running promotional campaigns for the artists and club. While not pursuing music or social change, Alicia loves to hike, swim under waterfalls and read outdoors. Her love for music and nature brought her to Portland, OR in August 2009.
