 Charles Baron leads Google.org's Geothermal Program as part of its Renewable Energy Cheaper than Coal (RE<C) Initiative, which has directed over $10.8 million to the advancement of Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) technology.  Google’s RE<C Initiative is dedicated to accelerating breakthrough innovations in renewable energy.   Charles serves as an observer on the Boards of Directors of Potter Drilling and AltaRock Energy -- the first two venture-backed EGS companies in the U.S.  He is a participant in the International Energy Agency's Geothermal Implementing Agreement and has received Google.org’s Leadership Excellence Award.  Charles received his BA from Dartmouth College.
